Any thoughts to the maker? 1/4 sawn versus straight sawn disscussion leads me to lean toward 1/4 sawn although the graining is special to say the least!
I think this on will certainly break the bank on bids! Good luck bidding! "Recently refinished, the original finish was beautifully alligatored but far too discolored to be a decorative piece of furniture. The shelves are an oak plyboard, the legs are solid wood. This is a very sturdily constructed stand with just a few slight surface flaws from age, no breaks, chips, cracks or repairs. Ready for display with many years of use for the future. Measures 19" by 16-3/4" and is 28" high." |

The maker was Plycraft or is it Plycroft, I always get those confused. I believe they grew their own trees and they call it 'Wavey Grainy'. Totally unique stuff, looks great by the fire place or maybe in the fire place would be better

But you didn't post the link - how can I bid?! I tried to find it and all I found was this "smokers smoking stand":
http://cgi.ebay.com/Antique-Stickley-Smokers-Smoking-St...QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I really like these. They are so much more attractive than the non-smokers smoking stand. |

Unfortunately the attribution is incorrect. It's Sticky not Stickley, and the smoking reference is in regard to what you do with these when found, as in "up in smoke". Nothing beats an evening fire on a cool Autumn night with the smell of Plycroft and Sticky in the air.

I can't believe you found an item that would compliment the plant stand.
