Greetings,
Earlier this year we purchased an interesting revolving bookcase in quartersawn oak from our dealer who has only seen three of these since she's been in business. While it was a little pricey, very slightly loose, and unmarked, the darn thing is so practical for our bungalow and pleasing to our eye that we had to purchase it. It's 30 inches high by 27 inches wide. Recently, our dealer lent us a 1997 Craftsman Auction catalogue with a table similar to the one we purchased that was attributed to Stickley Bros. It sold for $1650 USD before premiums. We were quite pleased thinking that we may have actually gotten a deal after all, but aren't really certain if it is indeed a Stickley. I've included an image of our table with an inset image of the Craftsman Auction table. Does anyone have any information or opinion on this type of table-revolving bookcase? Many thanks. Regards, Dave P.S. I keep getting a "ftp error" message. My jpg is only 160kb -- any suggestions? |

Thanks for the info. I too have had to ftp error message. I have photos of a Limbert china cabinet, that I picked up a few months ago, and would like to share the experience with your other forum members. Tim

Thanks for the assistance Ralph and Rikki.
I can't seem to copy the Flikr photo location, but perhaps the following link will work: http://www.flickr.com/photos/67689005@N00/2113597505/in/set-72157603470736427/ Regards, Dave |

Very cool; I've never seen one of those. Looks like it's likely a Stickley Bros. as well. Most revolving bookcases are square. The round shape is very unique.

I recently purchased a table with a revolving bookcase identical to the one pictured in your post. I had never seen one like it. Before I purchased it I did an internet search and found your post from Dec 07. It helped me confirm my decision to buy it. Thanks.

Hello dlamb,
Congratulations on finding a revolving bookcase like ours -- we're really enjoying it and get lot's of comments about it. It's interesting that you've found it in Canada, too. Ours was purchased in Alberta, but it could be from Alberta, Saskatchewan, or Alberta; our dealer can't recall. Why don't you submit an image of it to this forum? Enjoy it. Best Regards, David |
