Can anyone tell me if this top is original GW design. There is a piece of trim in the normally curved front.
Thanks |

Hello GW Antiquers,
Regarding the originality of the top, it sure looks original. I compared to one of my 41" tops and only thing that stood out is the metal band looked gray or worn. I collect the 41" variety GW stackers and to my knowledge, Globe Wernicke was 99% of the market for that size. I did have a "Shannon" version of a card catalog stack (somehow Shannon is related to Yawman & Erbe), as well as some variations that came from London based manufacturers. Otherwise Globe was the unquestioned Leader. If you have some 41" units you wish to sell, I pay fair market values. Always looking, buying. Contact dennisd499@knology.net.
