Hey Stonecat, do you have this maker? Neat piece. Very dark finish. At first glance the style made me think SOC. Seems like a nice piece. Never heard of the company...

..don't have much, a couple other pieces from old eBay sales - the tabouret is neat, has Limbertish cutouts; plus the hardware is no doubt Grand Rapids Brass Co., coincidentally I have a set of the same pulls (pic) as on the desk, fairly beefy brass, 8 piecs weigh 1.6 lbs; I like the dark colour of the desk - just saw a neat liquor cabinet game table this colour last week and still thinking about it (no tag but maybe Greenman...)

Thanks Stonecat - the tabouret is really nice. Great form with the unique legs and the cutouts. I wonder if they used dyes or fumed the oak or maybe a combination. I have heard you can get really dark fumed out by dyeing it before fuming.??
