I'm looking for some information about a china cabinet I recently bought. I don't know anything about it, only that I loved it on sight. It has some penciled writing in the drawer but I can't make out what it says. The carved panel is lily of the valley, I think. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

lola,

What a wonderful cabinet. I do not recognize the maker. It almost has an English flair to it. Has it been refinished? It appears to be in great shape.

Yes, someone has done some work on it. Not the best, but overall it's in great shape. I just wish i could find out a little more about it.I found in a little antique mall here in Texas. You just don't see this style of furniture much around here.

lola,

The relief carving sort of reminds me of the work designed by John Scott Bradstreet of Minneapolis.

I suspect your cabinet may be English. I am sorry that I do not have more information to share.

Good Evening Lola,
I am very impressed with your find as I can well understand why you fell in love with it.

Are the carvings on the ends of the cabinet as I could not find them on the front.
The beveled glass and the doors are outstanding.

The carving as mentioned by Fred is indeed low relief carving as the ones that I am attaching.
They are Ginko Leaves that I carved in the end panels of a Greene and Greene sideboard that I am making for a client in Los Angeles, CA.

By the Way, Welcome to the forums as this is the first that I have seen of your postings.

Respectfully,

Ralph Jones

Ralph,
The carving is on the middle door on the bottom. I haven't had any luck finding out anything about the cabinet.
It has been signed in one of the drawers, but it is very faint and i cannot read it.
You do beautiful work, I've been to your homepage. Thank you so much for your help and interest,i guess i'll just keep searching.
