A few months ago, I was at an auction in Northern Ohio, and found a hoosier style cabinet, made close to home. It was missing the door. I purchased the cabinet, and had Ralph Jones made a replacement for it. I picked the door up yesterday, and am very pleased with the outcome. If I were to attempt to sell the cabinet as is, I would get only a fraction of the value it now has, thanks to the new door.
I will post some pictures, in the near future. Ralph and his apprentice are extremely busy. However, if you are ever in the need for some work done by a true craftsman, I highly recommend contacting Ralph Jones. He does quality work. Thanks. Tim |

Hello Tim,
I thank you for those kind words and the plug, the main thing is did the door fit the cabinet? Folks what Tim didn't tell you was that he was in my shop with me talking about many different things pertaining to woodworking and these very forums. He arrived about 9:00 A.M. and didn't leave till after 12:00 noon. What a time we had discussing the most important things that I like such as these forums and teaching woodworking. Tim is new to these forums but, he won't be leaving for quite some time as he stated hat he found a home when he found these forums. I have to admit though there were a few times when I had a senior moment and lost tract of what we were talking about. One thing that I do remember was that people really don't know how much wear and tear the machinery gets over time and any one is subject to brake at any time. Nor do they realize how much it costs to repair one of them, I told him about my compound miter saw breaking and come to a complete stop right in the middle of a cut I was making and when I took it to the repair shop I had to drop $150.00 just for them to take it in for inspection and in about a week they called me and told me that it was done. So back I went only to find that I had to cough up another $75.00 in order to bring it home. Guess I'll get off my soap box now. Respectfully, Ralph Jones www.ralphjoneswoodworking.com |
