Hi all,
I read your closed thread about Oak Craft chairs and that no one had seen any with the tapestry covers intact. I have a matching pair of tiger oak, oak craft chair and rocker with the tapestry covers. I've had these pieces since the 1970's. They are in good condition and never been refinished. The tapestry is needlepoint and very fragile but in good condition. Since the tapestry model is so rare, is there a way to find an estimate on their value? (the pair?) I will try to post pics today. Thank you for any advice. Lisa |

Hello Lisa,
First welcome, to the Arts and Crafts Society Forums and to answer your question, I would recommend that you contact an appraiser in your area to look them over and give you his/her opinion. It would be hard for any of us to give you an estimate with out some pictures, which brings up another problem. Since we have used all of the space on our server the only method of posting pictures on these forums is by using Photo bucket or Flickr, which are both free. I use flicker as it allows you to set up a gallery for all to see and the methods of posting is real easy. Once you are registered on any one of the two, you simply pick a picture and right click on your mouse and select properties and when it comes up highlight it and select copy and close. Then go to your post and type in what ever you choose until you get to the point you wish to post your URL and right click and select paste and the URL will appear and then continue typing the balance of your post. Respectfully, Ralph Jones www.ralphjoneswoodworking.com |
