To all:
I would appreciate any help valuing a vintage Stow Davis desk that I have had in the family for years. Only reason I am asking is that we are moving into a smaller house and am double that this large, executive desk will fit. When perusing the web, I have since alot of vintage and more moder SD desks, but not many as nice as this one. I have attached a link to a picture of the desk below - please cut and past if you have time. We have priced it at $2,100, but not picture if too high or low. I read the comments here that large desks are not in much demand these days. Any help greatly appreciated. my email address is jborzilleri@grtcapital.com John {fixed broken image} ![]() |

Hello John,
First of all, welcome to the Arts and Cradfts Society forums. If you were close to London, Ohio I would put it into my store front on consignment for the amount you ask and a little mark up for me. Where are you located? Another thing you might do is to let your fingers do the walking and call different CEOs in your area and furnish them with a picture, it might just sell pretty quick. I particularly like the burl in the veneer. Respectfully, Ralph Jones http://hometown.aol.com/ralj7/index.htm |
