Hello Suze,
First of all welcome to the wonderful world of the Arts and Crafts Society and we hope that this will not be your last trip. I have worked on many a chair through the years but, I truly don't recall seeing anything like that one. Have you tried to google? If not click on Image and search for chairs from circa 1900 through 1920 and see what comes up. I have looked in my books but there was one close in resemblance and it was a Charles P. Limbert but, that is not to say that the one you have is one of his. Can you find any marks or brands anywhere on the under side of the chair? A company name, or a catalog number anywhere? I will keep searching for you to see what I can find but I can't promise anything. Respectfully, Ralph Jones www.ralphjoneswoodworking.com |

For what it's worth..it feels english to me. The upholstery pushes it in that direction. No expert, just my general impression. Bern
