I have just discoved a dining room suite ( 9 pieces)all marked Stickley Bros. Grand Rapids.. both branded and with the oval paper label All of the pieces have barley twist legs and strechers.. the chairs have cane backs and the china cabinet has a cane insert at the top.. The only reference I can find is a picture of a 1914 sofa with these characteristics,, It was labeled "elizabethan".. I am presuming that it was part of the "quaint" series. I wonder how it is regarded as a later design and not the mArts and Craft severe look. Any information would be greatly appreciated..

Leopold and John George Stickley open a business in Grand Rapids in 1905 and it stayed in business through the first world war. there main style of furniture was Mission, but the did experiment with other styles around 1906 through 1910 and found them not as well;l accepted as the Mission style, and they were phased out of the catalogs. Hang on to what you have as they might be a one of a kind in that style.
