Hi... I'm new to this forum so excuse me if my question seems redundant. I have six (6) dining rooms chairs that all look the same. one of them has the stamp "Made by STICKLEY Fayetteville 1926" on the back of the seat. another chair has 283/3011 or 283/3411 scratched into a leg dowel. I believe they are from the cherry valley collection (because of the date). I will attach a picture of one of the chairs. if the chairs were originally sold as a set, should the stamp be on each chair? what would their approximate worth be? thanks for your help.

The stamp does not necessarily show on every chair in a set from my experience with other companies. Stamping is often the last thing done in production and would often be done by a non-woodworker, maybe even the shipper, and so to save a little time and money, one mark per set. Unfortunately, these chairs are not nearly as collectable as Mission pieces. Value- who knows 50-150 ea ?????
