James-
That SOC desk sounds similar to one for sale here in a local antique shop. It is tagged at something like $300 but it isn't in very good shape and is really probably worth about $175. However, this means little to the value of the desk since your desk might be a more rare form, in better shape, original finish and leather, etc etc. 'Hundreds' of dollars is really all I can say without seeing a picture! |

Here's a leather top from a recent sale on eBay but it didn't make reserve at close to 1000.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Rare-Shop-of-the-Crafters-Small-Mis...QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem ...could be the same desk maybe??? This one is in the 1906 catalog reprint. Ironically, someone else had this exact model on eBay maybe a month or two ago without the leather and with the tag missing. They didn't know what it was and listed it at 495 to start. Nobody bought it and they relisted at the same price and still nobody went for it (appeared to need work as well, from what I recall). I almost went for it |
