This is a classic design for the ginkgo leaves.(They look like ginkgo to me--of course, I could be totally wrong.) That background kind of looks a bit like old leather. I really like the arching of the top and bottom frames.
Your wonderful creation beautifully captures the true feeling of a classical mission piece of decorative arts. It is hard to believe that it was made in 2006 and not 1906. In other words, I really, really, like this piece. Any chance you will make some to sell? There is someone on this site that does these gorgeous panels of made from cooper. His work has the same feel as your lead piece. Bev. |

I work with heavy gauge copper. It is a delight and less toxic than the lead. It is important to keep your hands clean and I suggest using gloves when working with lead.
The copper work hardens as you shape it and may require annealing with a torch to soften the metal. Fred Fred (Moderator) http://fredz49.blogspot.com/ |
