I received an email from a lady by the name of Le Anne Keane who aked me if I could post here pictures of a Limbert dining room set that she must sell as they are moving and do not have space for it. She requested a possible value and I informed here to get it appraised by an appraiser in her locale.

For some reason I just can't seem to get them all posted but looking at the complete dining room set should give you some idea.

I did contact Jerry Cohen of Craftsman Auctions & he said, "After around 1920, Mission Furniture manufacturers that survived the change in styles demanded by the public after World War I went on to make Colonial Revival and other furniture styles in woods like cherry, mahogany, and walnut. This furniture, noticeably produced by L&JG Stickley (Cherry Valley), Stickley Brothers, and Limbert - although very fine quality furniture, holds no value to the Arts & Crafts collectors I sell to. I am sorry I can not appraise your item because it is outside my market and my areas of expertise. When I have seen items like yours for sale at auctions or antique shops, the prices they sold for were comparable to other furniture produced since 1920, and the pieces brought no premium because of their maker."

The picture of the buffet shows that refinishing is needed... when it was refinished about 15 years ago, the top coating (of shallac ?) was done improperly... there's drips, cracking, bumps & bubbles & is still sticky in somes places.

Since we are moving out of state (from Maryland/Baltimore area) & need to sell this, am trying to decide if it's worth having it re-finished or to sell as is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just wanted to add the dimensions:
Table -- 60 x 42 x 30H
... it does extend for additional leaf, but we don't have one. Do have a glass top though.

Buffet -- 66 x 22 x 37 1/2H
China -- 42 x 15 x 61 1/2H
Tea -- 38 x 18 x 33 1/2H
