good stuff Smile

I assume you need to use several clamps for gluing across both dimensions, down the whole length of the post (?)

I use clear packing tape and wrap it tight.

Hello Sean,
Nice looking bed, and I especially like the way the rays stand out. Great job.

Respectfully,

I found that you could get the rays to jump out, by orbit sanding with a soft pad to 120 grit.
Then hand sand with grain to 150 ~ 180 grit (no block, this would flatten the surface). The Rays Cells are harder then the feather grain, so the ray seat proud and the rest of the wood is a little lower. When I wipe on the stain, I try to buff it off the rays. Then again when I give a spit coat of shellac. And again when I use the pigmented wax, allies trying to buff the rays clean. The rays will turn silver in time and even show them selves better.
Ralph; Thank for noticing this is something I have been trying to perfect.

Good Afternoon Everyone,
I sure am happy that the forum is picking up in attendance and new members. The more the merrier as we can then have some great conversations as well as show our works.

I know that Carol is delighted the forums are growing.

Respectfully,

Ralph Jones
