I wish to learn more about this Newell Post cap,it is wooden(ebonised)it has 3 ivory or bone panels,depicting a man and a woman,both very like the GREEN MAN images,also silimlar to W.Morris's Wallpaper designs!.Can anybody help me identify it.I wondered if it was a commissioned piece for a particular house,so I think that it is a One-off piece perhaps.I would appreciate any suggestions.THANK YOU

Another photo of the mans face,I think his beard is very Morris-,and he is also alike to a 'Green Man' I think.What does anyone else think!?.I believe the panels are either bone or ivory,does anyone know how to spot the difference?.
