I have inherited a desk,a simple one drawer
desk,a cherry colored wood.It was so neglected
& has responded to being cleaned and oiled so
well. Could anyone link me to a place where I
could find a bit of history on this desk? My
mother bought it at a railroad auction in the early sixties.Thank you

Your picture isn't working for me..anyone else?

Anyways, some more info on this company that I've dug up; they were the parent company of the Cadillac Cabinet Co., which has also been discussed here, and they advertised as such in the Roycrofters magazine the "FRA". They produced Mission style furniture in Detroit from 1907 to about 1918, using both the Cadillac Cabinet and Wolverine shopmarks, and presumably other styles. If your desk is 'cherry coloured' it probably isn't Mission style, but could still be a nice desk. Wolverine/Cadillac Cabinet would be considered one of the middle-tier companies of the period.

I haven't found much info on this company at all but a picture helps show the style and construction details, for commenting on.
