A friend has inherited a wonderful desk. It's quatersawn oak, well patined and obviously old. There are no labels of markings except the brand "ERNEST J SULTAN" in the lap drawer. The source was a gentleman who was a long time interior decorator and set designer. He had the desk in his home for some time and my friend had admired it, so he left it to her when he passed. He left no information on the desk.
Can anyone help? |

sweetpea, the message you replied to is 4 years old, from the time stamp, so I think you missed him/her
Nonetheless, if you could post a picture here that would be great - can't say I have found any references for this name, but a picture would help us make an educated stab at what you have |

An update.
It appears that this posting resufaces about once every 3 years. My friend that owns the desk asked me recently if I had ever found out anything. So I finally found the link to the site (I've changed ISPs and computers severaltimes since the posting and lost the link). Thank you CHB for your response. I'll pass the information on. dbaudit |
