Dear All,

I have a beautifull mahogany etagere which has probably been made in the UK (Scotland) around 1900. I have attached a photo.

It is not very good as the beautifull carvings on the middle part of the glass door and on the sides of the shelves are not visible, but I hope it will help.

I live in The Netherlands and it is very difficult to find information on it. Could somebody help me indentify it or give me some tips on how to find more information?

Description:

1) There is no visible stamp, mentioning a maker.

2) It has a small white bone label on the inside of the door mentioning a Regestry number:

Rd. no. 420519

3) On the back the following numbers have been entered into the wood:

6369 3821 4

4) It has a label on the back which in the past has almost been torn off:

Stephen Bindon Ltd
Storage departement

Would somebody be able to help me?

I have searched my books for the last two hours and cannot find anything that even holds a candle to your piece. It is beautiful and has been well taken care of. I have no concept of it's value but, I do know that you have a fine piece of furniture. Don't sell it.
