My grandfather received this chair in return for payment of services sometime in the 1940's. Recently we had the upholstery refurbished and the chair cleaned. They remarked that it might be a Stickley, but with the ornate backing, noone is certain. Over time, my grandfather replaced the bottom of the chair with just a plain board so any markings on the original bottom of the chair are no longer there. If anyone has seen something like this, or maybe a possible maker, I'd love to hear about it.

That is one beautiful chair but, I am afraid it is not a Stickley with the ornate carvings on the top of the back. However whim ever made it did a fantastic job.
