I have a dining table, 6 chairs and a sideboard with the Limbert mark branded in the top drawer. However, it is definitely after the arts and crafts period. Do you think there is any market for this? Where should I look? Thanks for your help. There are photos at www.flickr.com/photos/26772341@N05/ Donna

This is very late Limbert piece. Most likely made during the 1920s before the Limbert died and the business closed. Like most surviving arts & crafts furniture companies, i.e. L & JG Stickley, they abandoned the straight-line designs of the craftsman period and went to various revivals. Colonial or European. Even though it is Limbert, I doubt that there is any real market for this style of furniture unless someone is specifically looking for it or desires it. The true value of Limbert or Stickley lie in the pure forms from 1900 to 1916. The earlier the better. Limbert started manufacturing arts & crafts style around 1904 and many of his designs were very reminiscent of Macintosh and German designs, with various rectilinear cut outs. Those pieces are in high demand.
