Hi,

I am selling this sofa, but I am having trouble classifying it. I dont know if there is a specific name for the sofa. If anyone has information on it, that would be great! Check out the pics..

I'd say that's one big sofa! Double-sided is probably the best way to describe it.

I've been doing custom furniture upholstery for 30 years and never encounter a dbl sofa before. I expect it was used/designed for a lobby. It appears that it can be broken down into parts, seat, backs and arms. Worth mentioning to any perspective buyers if indeed thats the case.

Well,
It's safe to say it isn't Arts & Crafts.
A fairly modern sofa. Perhaps custom made because I've yet to see a double sided sofa.
If there no provenance on this, it's hard to put a real price on it. It has no real antique value. Only if someone is looking for something this big and unusual.

Hello Friend,
This particular couch is most surely not an A&C piece and most likely it was custom made for a large hotel, motel, or some sort of waiting room in a high end business section of a pretty large city. Not knowing the location of where it was made and for whom would be something to wile away the time trying to find out the who's, what's and whys for having it built in the first place.

In all of my years of building furniture I have never run across anything like this piece.

Good luck on you search and if you do find out anything please inform us as it is an interesting piece.

Respectfully,

Ralph Jones

Well, I've been looking for this couch. It is not a custom piece, but is really nice. It comes in two sizes. I believe I am looking for the smaller one, but I don't remember. How much are you selling this for? If you haven't already sold it, do you mind e-mailing me the measurements, asking price and estimate for shipping? Thanks!

My dad has been looking for this exact sofa. Is it still for sale and if so, where is it located and how much are you asking for it.

Im sorry I have not responded earlier. This piece is from a Neiman Marcus Showroom. I am still in the process of moving, and need to find a home for my couch. The couch measures 67 X 97 inches. I have attached a few more photos of the couch without the detachable divider. I am asking $750 or best offer. I need to get rid of this couch. I am located in Miami. Please contact me if you have any other questions! Jonserna@gmail.com.
