With the posium on the previous message, I think using pins in furniture to adjust settings (morris style) is really an untouched potential for anyone that builds and designs furniture... it gives the owner of the furniture much more freedom, while still keeping in with the arts and crafts feel to the piece. Anything we want to adjust, mirrors, shelves etc.... this can be worked into the finished piece..

Another example...

In this application, we use pins to adjust the angle of the mirror giving it the proper tilt..

The mirror rides on 2 pins, and can be easily lifted off of the base.. When it is placed on the base, the wood pins are adjusted for the proper tilt.. This mirror is 6 ft tall, and when placed on the base, the pins are placed such that the weight is counter balanced.. making it very stable.

Hello House of Yesteryear,
I truly like your concept and see how it could be used in many an Arts and Crafts pieces of furniture. As a matter of fact I think I will use it on some of the furniture I have in mind
to build. Thank you for the idea and the different methods it can be used.

Respectfully,

Ralph Jones
