I have a Rocking Chair that I am planning to have re-upohlstered. I've been doing a little research to see what the chair originally looked like. Then I stumbled upon a Rocker & Chair set made by Grand Rapids Bookcase & Chair Co. (Cloister Styles). These chairs resemble my Rocking chair very closely. When I got home to compare the items I found online with my chair, I did notice some slight differences and decided to look for a label. I found one on the back panel, left hand side. A gold, bone shaped label that says Rittercraft. However the lowercase "r" in the center is on top of a picture of a rocking chair and very difficult to distinguish as an "r". I've also found what appears to be very small type on the lower left of this label with the letters "PHILA". I can only assume that this chair was originally made in Philadelphia, PA. I haven't been able to find any information on Rittercraft other than your forum and the Library table. And any Rittencraft furniture I've seen has a distinct point on the back of their chairs & settles. So I don't believe this is Rittencraft. Any information you may have found in the past year would be appreciated.

Thanks, Shannon
