In this application, we use pins to adjust the angle of the mirror giving it the proper tilt..

The mirror rides on 2 pins, and can be easily lifted off of the base.. When it is placed on the base, the wood pins are adjusted for the proper tilt.. This mirror is 6 ft tall, and when placed on the base, the pins are placed such that the weight is counter balanced.. making it very stable.

Hello House of Yesteryear,
I truly like your concept and see how it could be used in many an Arts and Crafts pieces of furniture. As a matter of fact I think I will use it on some of the furniture I have in mind to build. Thank you for the idea and the different methods it can be used. Respectfully, Ralph Jones www.ralphjoneswoodworking.com |
