I found what I think is Feudal Oak dining set with the stamp of Wm. A. French & Company, Minneapolis, MN. Does any one know anything about this company, I have found one print add listing with the company stating "Interior Decorators, makers of fine furniture".

Hello Diana,

First welcome to the Arts and Crafts Society and we hope this will not be your only post.

Judging from the picture The furniture is anything but A&C as it is too ornate and could be classified as Victorian in style.

Respectfully,

diana127,

From what I can see, the company was more of a high end interior design firm than a furniture manufacturer.

Their most famous commission was for the interior design of the Historic Congdon Estate, Glensheen.

Hi Diana,
I'm curious about the WM. A. French co. as well. I purchased a hanging mirror from a second hand store 10 years ago or more with a metal tag in the back identifying this maker.
I just pulled it out of storage to hang it and decided to search the internet to see if there's any info out there on the company...

If anyone can help provide any info, it would be much appreciated!!
