This little oak taboret does not have a label but it's very charming. It is 17 inches high and 12 inches wide. The bidding just hit $100 with four hours left on E-Bay.
I was very content to pick it up at $25 but now there are 12 bids and it is just getting higher and higher. Does anyone recognize the maker of this piece? Thanks, Bev. This is the E-bay page if you want to watch the bidding. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1601...e=2#ebayphotohosting |

My gut reaction is that it's been reworked - routered edges, routered grooves, depth stop holes. Fussy decoration, I don't like it, but hey just my opinion

Bev,
I am not quite sure but I think I have seen it in one of my books and it could be either Charles F. Limbert or Roycroft. however there may be someone on here with more information and it is well worth $100 +. Respectfully, Ralph Jones www.ralphjoneswoodworking.com |

Thanks for the feedback.
It is not in my 1903 Limbert catalog. I wonder if it is something special. The proportions are excellent. I will have to think about another bid. Without knowing more about the manufacturer, the price is borderline. Bev. |

It sold for $127.50. I was hoping for around $50. I was really off on that taboret.
