I have 2 chairs of the same construction (based on the part that can be seen anyways) and saw one on eBay once that had a partial label for New York. Maybe anyone that drops in here anytime soon could check, I would appreciate it.

They are W.H. Gunlocke (New York). There are actually 2 identical chairs as a pair there (one is just not visible out of frame is all) both are marked with an original paper label underneath.

This marked Gus Stickley rocking chair has been updated this week by Chuck to now have a set of new custom made upholstered red leather cushions, making it much more complete and enticing.

Unfortunately I did not get a new picture since I didn't have a digital camera with me at the time. However I can personally atest that they look absolutely gorgeous. The back cushion (which has loop straps) is filled with down (via baffles), so it just molds to the body comfortably, making you never wanting to get up from it.

Yea, I saw all of that furniture at the masinic lodge.. Did you see the light fixture? The large ring about 10 ft dia with the 30 or so mission globes.. Very cool.

I guess the whole building went for cheap.. like $55,000 or so.. I was glad he got it, the other bidder was going to chop it up into apartments.

My best friend has that big old victorian on Meridian in Brazil.. the one with the funky pagoda terra cotta roof with the victorian windows.. the house is part arts and crafts and part victorian.. They just could not decide on a style I guess... so they did both. Spend lots of time in Brazil.

What is funny about West Baden is that the building set open to the public for years.. Anyone could have walked right in and taken that fireplace (thank God they didn;t) .. I don;t know how much the fireplace tiles are worth, but it is a pretty penny..
