Hello Tim,
Just recently at an auction sale, I spied six chairs of the same style and pattern as the two you have which were sold along with the dining table. All made out of quarter sawn white oak and the set made someone a hansom dining room ensemble. It was a shame that there was not a side table or buffet to go with them.

I forget the actual price the gentleman paid for them but it was in the four figure category.

I appreciated your call the other day and I will check with my cousin when the next sale he will be having that might just have some A&C pieces in the listing.

He does sometimes let me know if there are any in the sales but unfortunately what he thought were A&C ended up being Victorian. I then showed him so pictures of what to look for in the A&C style.
