I was out driving with my daughter the other day.. and I made the comment after seeing a beautiful home.. 'Hey Cassie, look at that fantastic Mission Home!' . I was kind of taken back by her answer (She is 10 yrs old) 'They should take all of those old mission homes and just burn them down and start over..' 'Mission, FLW, Mackintosh.. that is all you talk about'

Well, to get to the tail end of the story, I finished a new bedroom group for her birthday.. A new keyed bed, 2 side stands, 16 drawer mule chest, TV stand.. I mean totally decked out.

I got wonderful hugs and kisses, (more than enough payment for all of the hard work), she crawls into her new bed and I say 'So how do you like all of your new MISSION furniture?' .. Her jaw drops open just as she realizes she is going to need to eat all of those nasty words about burning down all of those old mission homes.. I guess mission is not so bad after all!
