Good Morning Friends,
Last Thursday I turned 74 years of age and gained another year in woodworking so I now have 61 years in my trade. When I turned 13 years of age in 1948, I started my apprenticeship under my grand father in the family trade which was woodworking. He was a master of the trade and each boy in the family went through the same thing as me. Working along beside my father and uncles as well as cousins who were also serving their apprenticeships. It is a shame that these traditions are not still conducted any longer. Should you care to read my life story, go to www.woodmagazine.com and then to the community and read my blogs where you will learn about me and the things I do in woodworking. Respectfully, Ralph Jones Moderator www.ralphjoneswoodworking.com |
