Here's a great offer that covers the entire spectrum of Arts & Crafts collecting. The listing speaks for itself. The seller (Jerry Cohen of Craftsman Auctions) has offerred this before and after picking up a set I can say this is as close as it gets to a 'must have' reference collection. Invaluable and priced right! People should be jumping all over this.

I agree with Stonecat. These are a great set to help in identifying A&C items and there values. I have collected them since they first printed them and have slacked off since Rago joined. The price of the Catalogs has steadily increased. I get them used whenever I can.

Stonecat, I took your advice and purchased this set. It has already come to use. I saw this listing on craig's list chicago: http://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/clt/190949301.html. I found the chandelier in the Craftsman Pittsfield October 15th, 2000 edition. It's on page 55, lower left. Now, the prices they have in these reference books are basically appraisals, right? If so, they obviously have this item over-priced at $5,500. Just thought this was interesting and wanted to share. And thanks for the advice.

Yes the figures in the catalogs are just estimates, but you should have also received a separate list of the prices realized from each sale. The chandelier made 2100 at auction with the estimate only being 800-1200. The Craigslist guy is fishing for a Frank Lloyd Wright sucker to take the bait. It doesn't look FLW to me. It looks like a company named W. B. Brown Co. who had a patent I believe on the wooden chain component, and who was one of the biggest makers of period lamps, in oak and glass. Its a nice piece but yes its overpriced a bit.

Good Morning Stonecat,
I doubt that at this later date they are still on sale as I tried to locate them myself to no avail. I know that I am a day late and a dollar short but they would make for a nice collection if a person had the space for them.

Respectfully,

Ralph Jones
