Good Morning Friends,

Though I don't remember the date many of you might have noticed that I have been away for a spell and the reason was that my old computer was struck by lightning and completly oblitterated it. I had to have a new one custom built and I will have to get used to it.

Now, folks I would like to inform you at this time, that you do not have to been in a storm to get struck by lightning as the storm was well over 12 miles away at the time my computer was struck. So take a word from the wise if you have an approaching storm coming unplug your computer just to be safe from any type of damage. I had an electric strip with 6 outlets and a supposed surge protector on it but, it did not work as my old computer definitely got cooked.

However now I am back into full swing and plan to be here to help anyone with questions that I might be able to answer.

Respectfully,

Ralph Jones

Ralph,

I know what you mean about the lightening. My house was hit by lightening on the exhaust vent over the stove. It traveled down the vent and through the electric stove, eventually blowing a large hole in the electric element of one of the burners.

I suspected that the surge protectors wouldn't prevent anything but a minor fluctuation from affecting an electronic appliance -- but now we have proof!

Glad to have you back in action.

Lauren

Hello Lauren,
Thanks, I am glad to be back. I was able to make contact with these folks through a good friend and they were very good and all I had to pay was my deductable for my insurance to cover the damages.
They were able to save everything from my old hard drive and I was elated as well as my wife for she had many pictures she would have hated to lose.

Now that we are back in the saddle I received an email from a lady stating that she couldn't get registered, so I suggestd that she re-register and when it came to the terms of service to be sure to accept it in order to get registered.

Respectfully,

Ralph

Ralph,

I think that this announcement that I made should explain the reason for having trouble registering.

Put us on your white list
