usual preface: this house is not in great shape and could use some color...

the detail on the porch is outstanding, the open truss and exposed rafters, the beam treatment at the gable end. there are several similar houses on the street, but this is the only one with the pergola intact.

the side has two bays and very unusual and interesting brackets.

with a little work, this would be a gem worthy of a cover on a bungalow book.

Here's my offering for the day. This one sits on a double lot and has a variety of roofing materials. I really like standing seam metal roofing, even when used sparingly like this one has done.

Good pick Eric, by standing seam do you mean the stuff on the shed dormer?
I saw them install something that looks similar on TOH once and they soldered the individual sections, is that the same?

Yes, standing seam is the metal roof with the little ridges. This type of roof construction is becoming a lost art and is definitely a hands-on craftsman type of work. It is not to be confused with the knock-off metal roofing you often see on modern gas stations and other industrial/commercial applications.

You can read a little bit about standing seam here. Also, do a Google search to see even more.
