WOW, great house (but not too sure about the exterior colors). I wonder what is under all that white trim paint? The tall wainscoting would be great if it were oak. Nice leaded built-ins too.

Wonderful house, Dave. Great Pictures. Thanks for sharing.
Sometimes these house painted all the wood trim white upstairs in the private areas (bedrooms). They generally put most of their detailed unpainted woodwork in the public rooms: dining room, library, living room, entry way or the palor. Yes, it would be great to stip that white paint off the downstairs rooms but what a task. At least they did not paint the beams. That fireplace is just awesome. Thanks again. Bev. |

If it's Victoria,BC, the woodwork is most likely Douglas fir. The granite fireplace is also typical of the area.
