Hello Friend,
I would say that the main house was built in the late forties or early fifties because the asbestos siding was popular then. Then the back porch add on was done in the late sixties or early seventies as flat roofs were also popular at that time.
You could go to your county Auditor and find the Plat book the deed is registered in at the recorders office and look up when the house was built, by whom as well as who the first owners were. This will give you some insight and important information on the house.

Respectfully,

Ralph Jones

I think it's authentic - the exposed rafter tails, front dormer, porch corner column (and a nice one), fireplace with flanking windows, some of the door trim and panelling, all say A&C period bungalow to me; but oh man, she has been worked over Frown - it would take a lot to turn back time, but what a great challenge ! The home is very similar to bungalows in my neighborhood (see attached photo of my home), although it has been altered--as the last comment suggested. Nevertheless, it's still a great place. The homes in my n'hood were built 1910-1920 by a variety of contractors who used pattern books to develop their plans.

I think the siding was an add on.

We have a lot of period homes with similar siding that was put on right over the clap board.
