There was a row of maybe 3 or 4 of this type of house nestled in between more regular bungaloid houses.I think the hip roof and column treatment is charming. This is borderline non-bungalow, but I think it still meets the spirit of the bungalow. Not sure what to call it!

Nice one, Don.

We talked our way into getting inside a similar type of bungalow that was very neglected. Sadly, the owner is taking down the oak molding and replacing it with a classical style pine that will be painted white. They are getting it ready to sell.

So far the fixtures are orginal, and they have left the built-ins alone. The sad thing is that the house has had some serious water damage (missing walls, ceilings) that will be repaired soon. I just don't know if we could afford to buy the house and then poor every last red cent we have into something that might be too expensive for us to save.

As soon as I can figure out how to post a picture, I will post one of the dinning room fixture. It's a wow.

I found the pictures. I just have to make them smaller. What a house.

What a beauty. Could use a little landscaping help, but I bet the interior has or had some great built-ins, moldings, windows, fixtures, etc! Gotta talk your way into that one Don.
