Here's a picturesque setting. This one has oversized columns and a large recessed dormer. The paint scheme and natural setting is quite relaxing.

that is a great house. i am partial to the massively overscaled columns, obvious from lots of my posts.

i will add a curious house, also something i like to share. everything is original except the trelis in the front. some color would help, but the beams and rails are interesting.

eric, i love that setting, it is rare to find a place that looks natural without crossing the line to unkempt.

don, a little paint would bring out the quality of that place. i assume those are roof vents and if he has anequal amount on the other side it may be costing more to heat the place. as i understand it there should be more inflow than outflow or heat will be sucked out of the house, what do you think.
