Good choice, although it pains me to see painted brick,I like the style of it. You are fortunate to be in close proximity to so many old houses. The railroad didn't come thru Smithers (POP 5500) till 1913/14, so given a normal attrition rate, in a town this size there isn't a large # of old homes. Having said that I may have nailed down a 1920 Aladdin Clevland, I'm 99% sure on the exterior, just waiting to confirm floorplan.

louisville is a mid size city that saw a large boom at the turn of the century.

the housing style reflects that time. also, many of these houses are along the parkways designed by Olmstead as part of the city park system. they were built by more well to do people of the period.
