You know, I never really was much for FLW.. But my basis for the lack of interest was that I had never been to one of his homes. You really don;t get the full scope until you tour a FLW home in person.
The Dana Thomas house is described as the 'Most complete' of any FLW home.. 95% of the furniture is original to the home, and very little restoration was needed. I toured Oak Park and went to his studio, I was much more inspired by the Dana Thomas home than I was with my trip to Oak Park (Oak Park is wonderful don;t get me wrong) But there is something about the Dana Thomas home that was magic.. {broken image removed} Dana Thomas House |
