Congratulation on your new home. The Sherwin-Williams Paint Co. has a dedicated Arts & Crafts Paint Booklet showing Exterior and Interior historic paint combinations. I found it to be a great reference. You have a blank canvas and with the right combination of colors your home will really shine. Have fun!

Hello Candy and Bungalow Brown,
Allow me to be the first to welcome you to the Arts and Crafts Society and we hope you continue to come back because, there is a lot to see and learn on any one of these forums.

Respectfully,

Well, it has been a year, and there's still so very much to do. But I thought I'd share a couple of pictures.

Our dining room, at the time of move-in. Since this time: We had the floors refinished. We tore out the ugly shag carpet in the hallway. I re-surfaced the ceiling and repainted the walls. This was a fairly easy room.

As you can see, we're not observing Arts and Crafts Orthodoxy. We like the way that homes from this period would have furnishings in a mix of contemporary and historical styles.

Here's the living room. Ugh, that ceiling was a beast of a project.

Both the rugs are new-to-us tribal rugs from Iran. We love them.
