I know Portland has many nice historic neighborhoods, but what shops are there? I'm looking for antiques only, not repro stuff. I'll be staying in the downtown area with no car, so it would have to be close by.

Circa Vintage Design,
As far as I know there are no A&C antique stores in Portland. There is one place in Sellwood that I can usually find a few pieces. At the last pass they had a Limbert desk, with a Gus H-back chair pulled up to it. It's not far but to get there you'd need to take a bus out of downtown. There are the usual type of antique malls scattered across the city. All are hit and miss on glass, metal and pottery. None have great furniture. Lauren |
