I was wondering if anyone has any recent experiences at the Rose Bowl Flea Market, in Pasadena, California? I have checked their website,and have seen it on some t.v. shows, magazines, etc..
I am curious as to whether their are many antique dealers set up there, and if so, what kind of wares do they sell? Are the prices high?
Or, are most of the dealers selling the new stuff, such as socks, t-shirts, etc?
I would like to visit there this summer, and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Tim

I have kind of a jittery feeling about flea markets as there are mostly so many different things for people to choose from but, I have not found any quality Arts and Crafts pieces in any of the Ohio flea markets. However there are a couple antique shows in Harmony, Ohio just off I 70 that are chucked full of some quality pieces and I also found that their prices are within reason for the persons who wish to collect quality furniture of the A&C styles.

I love the rose Bowl Flea Market.
I was there back in the late 1980s.
Bought a wreath made of freeze dried flowers and some other stuff. Went with my sister
and her friend David and his aunt and uncle.
Saw antique furniture,depression glass and other such items. Saw an amber Peacock and Rose
console bowl,but didn't buy it because I was worried about shipping it home,though i could have packed it and sent it back with Paul and Thelma in their van,since they drove out there
with David and Jessica and I flew out.
They had some really nice stuff that was reasonably priced,though what prices are like out there now I don't know.
I plan to check out some of the antique stores around here for old house plan books and old Sears and Wards or other catalogs and magazines.

Yeah,sometimes at flea markets all you find is junk.But this one is a good one for sure.
