Just got a postcard for the Marburger Farm Antique Show, in Round Top, Texas. The spring show is is April 1-5. Round Top is not just one show, but, several. Each show starts on a different day of the week. Go to www.roundtop-marburger.com, for more information.
I was there two years ago. It was an amazing sight. There are so many things to see. Some of the dealers save their best pieces for this show. If you do go, it is best to wear good walking shows. If you have a spouse or friend, you may want to invest in some hand held walkie talkies. They come in very handy.
Porters are available to load heavier items, and there are even shipping companies located nearby, to help you arrange shipment of your treasures. I found the food to be very good, and everyone I met there was very friendly.
Bicycles would be very nice, also. Travel can be backed up,especially in the morning, and afternoon, when everyone is wanting to pick up their items. You would be able to ride around the traffic.
When I got back home, I was very glad I went. It was well worth the trip. If it is too late to schedule a trip with so short notice, the fall show is held the first week of October. Thanks. Tim

Thanks Tim,

I put the ACS on their mailing list so I have ample notice to put the show in the events list next time.

Good Morning Friends,
Tim, I envy you capabilities of attending these type of shows but as you already know that I am a very busy person in my shop. However I suppose one could plan to take the time to smell the roses once in a while. My only problem with traveling to various places is hampered by my wife being in a wheel chair and it does limit our travel times to only short distances and now with gasoline being so high it is not within our budget to travel very far.

The next time you go to a function please take some pictures so those of us who are unable to attend might get some feel of how nice it would be if it were possible.

Respectfully,

Ralph
