I have been for several years and it's really energizing. A great place for seeing vintage and new objects made in the A & C style! Plus you meet and talk to so many wonderful folks that are just like us--crazy for this stuff. I want to travel to the Cotswolds later in the year--this year or some year with a small group pf those similarly interested. Know anyone?

Don,

What kind of rig does your friend take to the show - a cube van or something else like a trailer behind a truck/SUV? Does he sell across all price ranges or just high end? My impression is the whole show is fairly high end.

probaly like a 20 somthing foot rental truck. he has a double size booth around 10x24.

he isnt a particularly high end dealer. the limbert case i think would go around $7000. he has an early limbert table with splayed legs around $1400. i would think most is middle range. he has a nice lifetime single door case i would love to have thats around $2000. and a few rockers in the $700 range.

he generally has a good mix. you can check out his web site at jcdreamlight.com

the listings are pretty out of date right now, but still a sample of usual stuff.

Don,

Any reports from your dealer friend? Does he ever check out this forum? It would be nice to get some real dealers dropping in here.

he had a good show, sold some things, brought some things back.

i have forwarded this group to him, he may start dropping in... he is in the process of expanding the shop into an adjoining building, which will help show off the stuff much better.

right now things are pretty crowded, stacked up and such. but very nice things if you look. i am attaching a picture i took yesterday while helping him move some things. i also took pics for reference on the uhpolstry for a morris chair i am making.

this is (if memory serves) a G. Stickley rocker with a small G.Stickley taboret next to it. in the back right is a large mitered mullion G.S. case. back left is the corner of a Limber 3 door bookcase. literally everywhere you look there are vignettes like this.

i like to just sit and absorb the ambience.

his web site is www.jcdreamlight.com

Don,

The site for Roycroft Copper yearly posts images of GPI conference. Last years images are still available for viewing and I understand he will soon be downloading images for tbis years conference.
