I am writing about the Avondale model. I have done a lot of research on the Avondale built for the 1910 Illinois State Fair and would like to see photographs or hear family stories on this popular model.

We just bought a house, they told us it was built in 1916- we found a piece of wood with numbers in it(burnt into the wood, not ink or paint), but the house has a couple additions made and has been altered inside so much, that it's hard for me to tell what it is.

We think this is a The Sherburne Sears kit home with a flipped floorplan. It was built in 1916 and sits across the street from the GVT home in my other post.

Please help me identify this kit home. We're told it is a Sears home.
