No New ContentHot TopicDiscussion TopicMy home, is it a kit home? Answer: It is a Sears Carlin Model Kit House.
We just bought a house, they told us it was built in 1916- we found a piece of wood with numbers in it(burnt into the wood, not ink or paint), but the house has a couple additions made and has been altered inside so much, that it's hard for me to tell what it is.

I have been told that my house may be a Sears kit home circa 1926. The stained glass windows in the living room are claimed to be original.
