Here is the mysterious mark for the A&C rocker that I have. I hope to find someone that can identify the maker or the factory it came from.

It has been a few days since my last post concerning this rocker label, to which there has been no remarks. Again, has anyone seen or heard of such a mark? I would appreciate any inputs.

Assuming the proper order for the initials is SDC then here are three possibles from the Grand Rapids area (listed on http://www.iserv.net/~plucas/michyes.htm#LetterR):

Spencer-Duffy Co. Grand Rapids (1922-present)

Stockwell-Darragh Furniture Co., Grand Rapids (1883-1885)
purchased by Newaygo Furniture Co.

Stow/Davis Furniture Co., Grand Rapids (1880-1985)
began as Stow & Haight, 1880
became Stow & Davis, 1885
purchased by Steelcase, 1985

...try Google searching these for any more detail...otherwise I checked a couple other references but found nothing describing this kind of label

Thank you Stonecat, this is very helpful. I will try googling these leads and will post something if I find any info. This link/list is very nice and we could use more of that on this site as an aid for looking up history and such. Google can be frustrating as it would take forever to serparate the wheat from the chaff. Again thank you for your input.
